    Anthony Mangieri Talks Pizza Passion

Wow, Anthony might be even more obsessed than me about his pizza (he tried to make pizza in his fireplace as a kid)! Anthony is the owner of Una Pizza Napoletana in New York City. In these short videos he talks about his oven, his ingredients and even gives advice to home pizza bakers. I found them inspiring and educational.

Perfect Pizza videos from Heston Blumenthal

Is this a trend or is it a coincidence that this episode of “In Search of Perfection – Perfect Pizza” featuring the self proclaimed culinary alchemist Heston Blumenthal covers a recipe very similar to the dough that is in my refrigerator right now? The videos show Heston traveling to Naples and bringing back some wonderful advice for making pizza at home. It’s inspired me to seek higher temperature bakes from my oven.

    Thanks Slice

    Japanese Pizza Commercial

Somehow, the makers of this Japanese pizza commercial have made pizza into some sort of strange manga comic. I can’t stop singing this tune.

    My Daughter’s Pizza Drawing

This drawing is very special to me. My oldest daughter drew if for me in February of 2004 when we began making pizza together. She said it is a picture of her favorite pizza, our pizza. It is on all of my recipe cards and was on my original Pizza Maker’s Journal web site. This weekend I took some time to work it in to the site so my daughter can see that her drawing is on every page.

    Extreme pizza cutters

I can’t say enough about the downright sweetness of these Extreme Pizza Cutters designed by Frankie Flood from the University of Illinois. I can only imagine tearing through one of my pies with an all-aluminum, powder-coated carbon fiber custom cutter! Hats off to this extraordinarily talented artist.

Say, this could go along well with the tricked out dough mixer we saw a few months ago…
